re: Married Men of the OT: What is your favorite part of being married?

That I’m living with my wife instead of my parents (still in school while she works). That’s about it. Other than financial stability, convenience of sex, and efficiency of resources, married life is a step down from a committed relationship living separate.

why just take a vicodin when you have a bag OxyContin?
Because if you stay with that person, you’re gonna have to shoot heroin into your eyeballs to get even half high in a couple years.

Not having to decide what to do with my money.

New relationship energy might be one of the best things in the world
It's the opposite of depressing
The relationship I have currently with my wife is better than any of my past relationships at the 6 month mark, and that includes the one with her.

Mine is always having somebody sitting at home waiting for me with no hobbies and nothing to do but wait for me and count the minutes till i'm home.
I wouldn't say she has no hobbies.. I think its a hobby..
BTW you could use a new mattress. It's not real comfortable. Which is why I leave shortly after your wife's hobby time is over.

Yeah my MIL worked until my wife was in college, but my wife took her work ethic from her dad. At this point in life, she wants to build her career as high as she can go before we even think about kids.
We do it the white way.
when coaching tee-ball I never understood coaching 6 year old kids with a stand full of 50 year old parents...now I get it...the white way. Thanks for the enlightenment
ETA: I'm 28, had 2 kids before marriage (oldest while playing college ball)...oldest son is 8 and college is 95% paid for and the youngest (2) is about 10%...I'll be 44 when both kids are gone to college, I've got a roth ira for when my oldest graduates and land I hope to pass to my 2 year old when he graduates. I'll hit 6 figures around 34ish at my current rate, kids lord willing will have had great head starts towards success. Credit is great, wife has a good stable growing career, air force sergeant currently pursuing her PhD. We did it the you don't have to follow a blueprint to be successful non racist way

You have to actually live your fantasy though. You don't have to disguise the reason no chicks want you to put that nub inside them. Thing probably looks like a chewed up brown crayon
