Pick your battles some things aren't worth the time and effort.

Treat your wife well because your kids will watch and learn how women are supposed to be treated.

Birthdays are a big deal. Bigger than Christmas or Valentine's.

Surprise your wife with flowers on a random day. Big points if she works and you send them there.

Good lord, you're advising guys to become feminine with that shite.

C. Expect if she cooks, you clean. Expect if you cook, you clean.

No. She cooks and cleans. Simple version. She has indoor duty I have outdoors and help when necessary. When kids come along, that advice extends to the kids.

D. Never ever believe, no matter how nice they may seem, for your in-laws to ever view you with anything other than veiled distrust. Anticipate that behind the scene, they talk negatively about you behind your back's to your wife's sister or brother. Don't take it personal. That's just how it is everywhere. In a divorce, no matter if she's at fault, they side with her. Always.

That is the truth for the most part.

And I do not "fake" the get along bs for holidays either. I haven't spoken or seen my inlaws in years and better off for it, BUT I never discourage my wife or kids doing things with them.

E. Girls who are not interested in (or lack talent, drive or ambition or a degree for) a career and are just really uninteresting eventually become really boring and you'll regret that you didn't marry someone who has drive and ambition (or money). No matter how pretty she is, you'll eventually run into someone who seems more alive and "has it together" and if there's an attraction... watch out!.

Career minded women suck arse! They are the ones to avoid marrying. To have fun with, fine. You will regret that SELFISH career minded bitch.

Family first minded women are far better and far more willing to please her man.

Married 29 years.

How she acts toward her dad is how she will act towards you.

You're welcome.

You can't be both.

You will remember every single girl that you might of had a chance to have sex with and didn't before you got married. And you will kick yourself.

So you having in interest in having a career is not selfish but heaven forbid a woman want to work outside of the home and all of a sudden she is selfish?

I'm not talking about workaholics. Anyone who puts their career before their marriage/family(male or female) is doing it wrong imo. All about balance and keeping your priorities in line.

The wife must feel loved and the man must feel respected.

God I hope my fiance doesn't end up like her Mom (cringe). They're as different as can be right now. They don't even look the same.

Ha! Ha! You can't handle an alpha female. Too much competition for your fragile ego, I'd presume.

I'm now into my 19th year with my spouse. Great family person, awesome wife. She's with for a Fortune 50 company in a key international role.

Hmmm, struck a nerve.

I'm gonna say y'all do not have kids since you didn't mention her being a mother.

Career first woman and "great family person" is not possible except if they do not have kids because their family responsibilities are obviously greatly diminished.
