I get up at 4:50 so I can spend an hour or so working out each morning in peace, and I get a few hours each evening after they’re in bed to hang out with my wife. I hate being away from those three monkeys.

My wife and I agreed years ago to go out dining and dancing twice a week.
She goes Thursdays and Saturdays and I go Fridays and Sundays....

I hate being away from my wife and kids. You sound like you hate being with your wife and kids. Maybe you should’ve thought about that before you sprayed her guts

Then you don’t know the right people. My kids and my wife all hunt and fish and spend more time at the camp than I do. Most people we associate with do most everything with their kids as did our parents.
I remember men asking my father on a Friday night why he was at dinner with his 7 kids and he responded by saying because they know how to behave themselves and we enjoy each other’s company. I’m the same way.

I'm good being gone a few hours or a day. Sometimes I dont want to be around anyone, family included and I'm normally a very social person.

Good for her and y'all. The few times I've left with friends, I came home with to my husband with a new appreciation of what I did as a mom which made me work harder.
