Yeah I have 4 younger sisters actually. Two of them hadn't reached puberty yet when I left for college, thank God

My little girl is almost a teenager and just like me which is scary. Love being her dad but also love going fishing some weekends.

I like you and your brother's videos btw. I don't watch them all but will watch some of them occasionally

Big reason why I don’t want kids

Most people that say this would immediately find something deep down in them that would soften your soul the day you see your child born. It’s a love/bond like no other. It changed my life for the better. Nothing can compare to it and never will

Needing to get away? Man up. That shite is for the women. Have fun at your next spa day and brunch with the bros to get away from your kids. Pussy.

I take a couple guys trips per year and always look forward to them, but I always wake up in the morning really missing my family.

I don’t get the need for guys trips and time away from your family. That shite dries up soon enough. You don’t think you care now but one day you will be waiting on their call or text and it won’t come for weeks and you will miss them dearly.

Newlywed 12 years ago.
I just realized early on that my family brings me more happiness than the selfish and materialistic pursuits of my youth.

Instead of excluding them to do things I like, I include them, and we can share that time and build those memories together.

Excluding my wife, the kids won't be around forever; they'll move on to their own families. I'll have plenty of alone time in the future. Why waste that precious time now?

Greatest advice I ever got.

Give each other 1 night a week(every other week) to get away from the house and do whatever it is you want to do.

frick that, I make a trip to the camp AT LEAST once a month. Love my wife and daughter more than anything in the world, but there is nothing like sitting out on the river with some peace and quiet, and a few adult beverages.

ETA: I think me getting away alone for a couple days a month is more due to my job than anything else.

This. Hunting and fishing is a way of life, not a hobby. I get to the camp twice a month these days and way more during duck season. It isn't that I don't like my kids or my wife--it's what I have done and will continue to do as part of life. I hope my kids come along when they are old enough.

Either all these baws are lying, or all the baws who I hunt, fish, camp with are lying.

I get up early enough to have a few minutes of alone time.

I don't like being away from my family.
Sucks xtra hard.

Yeah, some really whipped baws up in here. I think fathers' habits have shifted from outdoors to the baseball/soccer field. This allows them to be close to home where the wives can't complain as much.
