Scruffy understands the concept and benefit of listing certain things as “handcrafted”.

Woodworking
Leather working
Sometimes smithing

Is it really a benefit for food?

Saw a bag of handcrafted peppermint bark candy?

Does that really add to the appeal? Do people want their candy to be crafted by someone’s hands?

Seems like that would be the situation where less “hand involvement” would offer a better appeal.

Those fudge guys in the mall are fairly impressive.

Freshly baked in a small bakery, made daily, I guess.

But when have you ever seen a bakery advertised as “handcrafted”?

I don't like seeing it with food. I just picture people's bare hands in my food. I would rather a robot make mine.

Handcrafted seems implied with food, processed meals notwithstanding.

It’s not like I think you did it with some other part of your body.

This says it all, no one talks like that outside of the marketing board room

Saw “Handcrafted sandwiches” sign at Buccees.

As if them MF’ers ‘craft’ themselves…?

State of mind…sells a lot of chit.
