Van Houten allegedly held Rosemary down while Krenwinkel stabbed her in the chest several times. The knife apparently jammed in Rosemary’s clavicle bone and Van Houten cried to Watson for help.

Watson had already murdered Leno, stabbing him repeatedly as he was tied up in the living room. Van Houten allegedly stabbed Rosemary's lower back and glute area over a dozen times.

Or did he just forget to file the parole rejection?

He overuled the parole recommendation every time it came before him. I think it was 3 or 4 times. The most recent time the CA Court of Appeal set aside his veto and he chose to not appeal to the CA Sup. Ct. stating he didn't think the Sup. Ct. would hear it and if they did were unlikely to overturn the Ct. of Appeal.

Healthcare for geriatric prisoners is astronomically expensive.

I’m good with it. She’s paid her due. She’s been in prison a long damn time.

Tough shite. She should be under the prison.

It seems like she did a lot of good in prison. After all these years, I’m not opposed to her getting released to enjoy her final years of life. I have no concern that she will commit another violent crime.

I just read Helter Skelter, the book written by the prosecutor Bugliosi.

They also did a TV mini-series in 1976. She was played by a Baton Rouge girl.

She will need the same tax payer funded healthcare outside the prison.

Not my problem

But if I was related to the victim she would not last a week and when the cops came for me:

She could be the Mother Teresa of California’s prison population and I wouldn’t give a shite. She should rot and die in jail for what she did.

What is the purpose of the justice system?

Rehabilitation?
Retribution and punishment?
Deterrence?

It is likely all of the above in some ratio.

You still don’t understand the details.

Book is 100% fiction.
