Say what you want but it is consistent there that the folks with tons of money don't want anything built. They don't need jobs and they don't need opportunity so they manipulate the system to get stuff shot down. But that is our system. Sucks for the little guy.
Dr. Pittman is not a little guy and is very wealthy.

Gosh. You are so right. And here I thought all that acreage was owned by some construction worker. Plus, when Dr. Pittman builds the site himself and operates all the businesses single handedly he will be the only one benefitting.
OR MAYBE
I was referring to the downstream economic benefits to all the construction workers, materials supply companies, people who will work at and maintain all the new businesses. Maybe I meant those little people. Do you really not realize that development spurs jobs and economic benefits beyond the initial property owners?

Mandeville doesn't need or want new jobs baw

I was born and raised in Mandeville and both sides of my family have been there since the early 1900's. It was such a great place to grow up once upon a time.
Mandeville used to be an amazing place to live but that all changed when all the transplants moved in and decided that they wanted everything their way to make it more the cities that they had moved to get away from.
I hate when dumbasses like that move to a place like that and then want to change it to suit them. Mandeville really sucks now with all of the traffic and development there. Sad to see, really.

Yup
It's his (and my) bday today. I haven't seen him in since last Mardi Gras. I actually lived with the guy who lived across Monroe who was 5'7 in HS, and then like 6'4 after freshman year in college. I saw his brother with KH two Mardi Gras ago

Good. Maybe my kids can build fires and under age drink in prestress like I did growing up.

We used to go rip donuts, drink beer, and bang bitches

I'm an old dude. Graduated from Mandeville in 85. Prestress was a concrete and rebar graveyard when we played in there. Looking back it wasn't the safest place to waste time especially during the night.

They put a gate up around 01 or 02, but never locked it. All you had to do was open it and drive through

Last I checked there's no shortage of those kinds of jobs around the parish and general area. So, bullshite point.

Did you see that article today?
What'd they expect? Let's put a beach in where a pod of gators is known to frequently show...

That's the first thing I thought of when they played the clip showing that spot.
Also, that looked like it could have been considered wetland. Anybody who wants this shut down could do some research and find out what kind of mitigation was done in order to be able to have this beach built.

Well I just checked. Current unemployment rate in St. Tammany is at 7% whereas national rate is at 4.7%. So you are saying more jobs aren't needed? OK.

You're not taking the number of soccer moms, milfs, and kids/retired people into account.

Good for them. Developers should have left that out of the project.

Head to Pelican Park on a Saturday for milfs.
