With family living in the Marigny area, I'm glad it didn't pass. Could you imagine the traffic overload on/off those ramps? I freaking hate trying to get on and off the interstate as it is over there but Perlis is worth it.

What exactly? The proposal that was voted down was the exact same one proposed two years ago. Nothing was changed in 2 years. They had a chance to amend it before the vote and never did.

Well don't they need a vote before they revise? Initially they scaled back the project to appease our retarded council.
By the way, we have some morons on this council led by Sica. I live around the corner from the development.

No they could have revised before the vote. The process was discussed a couple meetings prior to the vote. Almost as if they warned the developers to revise it to meet the previous council findings. The developer said he agreed to it but never put it in writing.
Both sides wasted a bunch of money.

Was it less congested in the 80's/90's?
Sure. But there's no question as to it being the best place in South LA for a family. The fact that this just got rejected proves it's going to continue to get better.
It's good that this isn't happening. Everyone in Mandeville knows that.

This is going to cost the city of Mandeville a boat load of money. They had better approved something ASAP, I'd prefer my tax dollars not being wasted on lawyers.
TBH, I'm neither for or against the project. Would prefer infrastructure to be in place before construction.

I know, right? In fact I would advise anyone thinking of moving here to look elsewhere.

I don't mind this, its for the kids. Although probably not Mandeville kids
They go to Destin!

The lack of milfs is actually the only thing that surprised me after moving here.
Everything else is as expected.

I hate to agree with the council because in part that means I agree with those pretentious fricks who live along the lake who think they literally own the lake front, but a development about half the size of what they were proposing would have been great.

I keep hearing this lawsuit threat being thrown around by the proponents but no substance or details.
Btw you definitely sound like you have a monetary interest in the project.
