Stephen Prosser, 51, claims he suffered soft tissue damage after a traveller "wedged" himself into the seat next to him on a flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow on January 10 in 2016.
Mr Prosser, of Tonypandy, South Wales, claims that the obese passenger, who he described as 6ft 5in and 23 stone, was "so large" that his body fat "spilled" into his seat by several inches.
quote:
“He was that large that he had to force his buttocks between the arm rests of the seats
quote:
He was a huge bloke, not just overweight but really big boned as well. He was a real lump. "I felt discomfort as soon as he sat down because I was pinned against the side of the cabin.

Is there an actual limit before you have to buy two tickets?

I agree with him!! We as a country should fat shame more!

With all due respect, why didn't this man buy two seats if he was indeed that large?

Stone = 14 pounds
23 stone × 14 pounds/stone = 322 pounds, which on a 6'5" person may not be that fat.

6'5" and 322 lbs.
Doesn't seem that obese.

Agree 100%. Especially after going to Disneyworld. There should be more penalties for people who dont give a shite about their body and weigh 500 lbs. And it can start with quit giving them scooters and handicapped signs to skip all the lines at Disney.

Thank you. I've always wondered, but have been too lazy to look it up.

I'm 6'4" and feel fat around 190 pounds. 300+ pounds is unhealthy no matter how tall you are.

Andrew Whitworth was in Bangkok why?

Yep. Had a blast but that was my only complaint. Everywhere you looked it was fatties on scooters because Disney is afraid of getting sued so they let them skip the line. Its caught on

I had one of those last year. On the aisle seat was like hugging the aisle armrest. It was bad.
