Anyone who watches this video and in anyway has an issue with that the police did is an idiot.
Posted on 6/1/19 at 12:27 pm to brass2mouth
based on the full video, the driver was one small steering wheel turn away from mowing down a group of at least 8-12 people, most with their backs to him, a second or two later.
The troopers cannot predict his next move, and thus, made an absolutely correct call.

So are we shutting down the interstates because of this outrage?

Dale and Anne Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, said they were checking their reservations at a restaurant near Bourbon and Bienville streets when the shooting occurred. Dale Smith said the state police had just cleared a small bucket-drumming group from the curb when he saw troopers’ attention turn to a car “creeping down” Bourbon Street. He said the car was moving slowly down the street when two troopers began following the car on foot. Dale Smith said he has hearing issues but that Anne Smith’s hearing is “perfect” and she heard no verbal commands from the officers to the motorist before the gunfire. She heard one shot. Troopers were running alongside the car when the gunfire sounded, she said. “This car was moving very, very slowly,” Dale Smith said. “It seemed remarkable to me that an officer would open fire on a vehicle that was going that slow down Bourbon Street” without first giving any commands. Dale Smith said he then looked toward the car to see that the driver had been shot. He said he then saw someone drop a towel from a balcony, likely to help staunch the victim’s bleeding.
Also wanted to point out that Dale and Anne Smith of Ft. Worth Texas are full of shite.

seems reasonable. he had to go
I don’t know. It’s not like he parked on the neutral ground.

Video of shooting. Dude wasn’t slowly creeping by at all.
Well look at that. The obvious happened. Glad there was video so the morons from the first two pages can't continue to pretend they couldn't possibly "imagine" why this would be necessary.

Understatement of the year. Wish these people could be publicly called out on their bullshite story.
No problem at all with what the Troopers did, held off on shooting him a lot longer than I would have expected.
Anyone who has a problem with them chasing down the car or getting in front of the car doesn't realize the world we live in today. Could easily be someone looking for a crowd to drive into.

When you're driving the wrong way on a one-way street famous for being crowded with people with two cops telling you to stop (one cop aiming his gun at you) and you keep going, you deserve what's coming to protect the people on the street. And he was about to hit people from behind. No telling how bad it would have gotten from there. He was probably horribly shite-faced.

I'm pretty sure they were telling him to stop, but just in case they were completely silent, if the police were to point a gun at me, I wouldn't need them to say shite to me. I would know what they mean - freeze.

The Smith's seem like they may have been black folk are part of the SJW movement for them to spit out a BS quote like that.

The Smith’s can get the frick out of New Orleans. I’m a bit biased, but LSP doesn’t misstep very often. What a crock of shite interview.
