There had to be an evidentiary issue or serious weakness in the State’s case. I hope Hillar addresses it.

He went to the house armed. It was a house in a pretty nice looking neighborhood and he was supposedly just sneaking in to go visit the girl. Why does that POS need to be armed in that situation?
He snuck into a house to commit a crime (17 year old screwing with a 14 year old) and then kills the homeowner, but still avoids any jail time? I lose faith in the justice system more and more with these kinds of stories.

He knew he wasn't supposed to be there, which is why he was sneaking in and he was 17 so he was illegally carrying a gun. He knew exactly what he was doing. The girl's daddy, like most daddies was probably pissed and wanted to whip his arse.. If that is the situation, I wonder if the judge factored that into, which is bullshite if they did.
And what is this person going to do with his life? Go to college and become an engineer? I seriously doubt that. He will likely be a problem again. There is no way this should be his punishment. He killed someone in their home.

I’m surmising that it was a black youth that killed a black dad. Why aren’t the black victims in so many of these black on black crimes fed up with this yet? They keep voting blue like pawns.

Heck, I'd drop that age to about 10. You intentionally kill someone else and you are 10 or above, you are getting tried as an adult. Period. And I'd drop the age depending on how heinous it is.

Remember hearing this because I used to live in Zachary. Like many new developments there, this neighborhood is yet another DR Horton glorified section 8 trash pile. That entire town is a glorified ghetto and the local government works overtime to bury local happenings to “save” their overrated schools.

Friend of mine who’s a cop in NOLA has been saying this shite for 15 years. Judges just let these dudes walk and drop all the firearms charges.
