He’s running away, slightly turns and points a non deadly weapon. Shot in the back.

So what happens if he Tases the officer, incapacitates him, and takes his gun?

It was forced

quote:
"It has become abundantly clear that over the last couple weeks in Atlanta is that while we have a police force full of men and women who work alongside our communities with honor respect and dignity," Bottoms said in a statement. "There has been a disconnect with what our expectations are, and should be as it relates to interactions with our officers and the communities in which they are entrusted to protect.
quote:
"Chief Erica Shields has been a solid member of APD for over two decades, and has a deep and abiding love for the people of Atlanta," she continued. "And because of her desire that Atlanta be a model of what meaningful reform should look like across this country Chief Shields has offered to immediately step aside as Police Chief so that the city may move forward with urgency and rebuilding the trust so desperately needed throughout our communities."

If that's true, then those cops will walk pretty easily

The cops family gets to lay wreaths on his grave.

Mr. Reede’s legal advice. None of this happens.

This is where the BLM movement shows its ignorance and alienates some.
They protest justified killings like this one appears to be and are rooted in the justified killings of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown.
Really cheapens their message in my opinion.

If he was shot running away they fricked up. If he turned to shoot the taser that he already took, they are fine
Either way. That dumbass punched and fought both cops. They could have shot him mid scuffle thinking he was going for their fun for all we know

That really looks like resisting arrest.
The GF video that I saw , GF was complying the whole time.
This shooting is night and day different than GF.

This all could have been avoided if the young man had just complied with the officers. He screwed up by putting himself in this position.
Fighting the cops was poor judgement on the kid's part.
After the altercation is where the biggest problem begins. The kid had a taser and was running,he turned and tried to tase the cop.
This is the area that's going to be raked over the coals ad nauseam.
There are no winners in this argument,as usual.

Then the second cop can shoot him. Notice in the video he was in close pursuit. Also, the cops sidearm far outranges the teaser. That cop should know what distance to keep in order to stay safe.
This is a bad shoot. They know who he is, have his car & possibly ID. He's not running for long.

You know Tasers can still kill people right?
Or what if the suspect Tases the officer and the officer hits his head while falling and gets a brain injury?
I guess my question is, what the frick gives a criminal the right to assault a cop?
