You can argue against certain situations, but this is literal example of “don’t resist”.

This plus, do not get so incapacitated that you end up in a fight with police officers! Why do people think this is a good idea?

He was definitely resisting and went from passed out to more than they could handle pretty quickly. That said, it was a DUI and resisting arrest. They had his car. Let the dumb SOB run and arrest him tomorrow.

Playing a game a hypotheticals here:

What if they let that guy run away, but in his infinite drug-fueled wisdom he carjacks someone, speeds off and kills another innocent driver? Or, if he runs into an apartment or home that isn't his and some innocent folks inside end up injured or dead?

Everything that would have happened after that initial encounter would have been blamed on the police. The locals would have been screaming it was the police's fault that a mom and child were killed in a head on collision with a crazy guy that the police just let run away.

It is easy to say, "Just let him run away." whilst you're sitting on your couch.

I think the greater problem is that when you just let people go in situations like this, it pretty much ruins the credibility of the police as a whole. If there's one thing criminals love to exploit, it's weakness. You couple that with a demoralized and apathetic police force and you won't have to defund the police, they'll just quit.

Oh well. Be stupid and pay the price.

He shouldn't have fought them, but Shooting anyone in the back running away is not right regardless of color.

Has it been proven he was shot in the back?

This is why this guy is dead.

Gtfo with facts
BLM will start a protest by the end of the weekend, regardless of details

In these times, I’m quite certain a black man could point a gun at a police officer (white or black) and shoot at a family with babies, and if he’s ultimately gunned down by the cops, BLM would still protest and honor the man
