Doesn’t this idiot know that by not being miserable he could infect a 95 year old or 400 pound person?

$100 there is more to the story. The dude didn't get arrested, probably didn't get handcuffed, probably nothing remotely close to an arrest or detention. "If" any on this occurred, I'd double that $100 if the dude was being an a-hole and the police were addressing something else and he's claiming it's a social distancing thing. What's more likely, the cops roughing up a nice young family playing ball or the dude was being an arse about something and the cops were called to deal with him specifically?

You think they aren't closer together in the house or apartment? What they were doing at the park is clearly allowed.

my bet is if he just would have played along nicely and not acted like he couldn’t be touched, it never would have escalated.

His name would get documented in a report. If someone, as an example, spray paints “F the police” on a building in the park that night, guess who’s going to receive a visit from the police and have to prove his innocence?

The biggest reason for not providing his ID is because he wasn’t legally obligated to do so. Why would these police officers disrespect the law?

Scruffy takes your bet.

Former Brighton City Councilman Kirby Wallin recorded much of the incident on his cellphone, where you can hear his voice narrate the scene.

“He’s being taken by the Brighton police for playing softball with his daughter in an empty park," Wallin said.

Nice lesson to teach his kid.

I shudder at the lessons you teach (or will teach) your kid.

So, he was supposed to remain 6 feet away from his family members?

Is one of the adults sleeping in the guest room??? This is so dumb to ever have even happened.

That's pretty heartbreaking in terms of what the kid saw. I would be pretty livid. Classic case of Back The Blue though... which should isn't what any of us should want before, during or after this stuff is over. Think about it.

The exact moment he said “I won’t get arrested” is what sealed his fate.

No I'd say its when he refused to show ID. If he didn't have to prove how woke he is and just show his ID, he probably gets a "look the park is closed how bout call it a day and head home" instead of a cuffing. Rest assured he got exactly what he wanted out of this.

The only thing I can see that the guy did wrong is refuse to provide his identification to the police when it was requested. Sounds like he was being a douche, but I can understand why he was being pissy and getting arrested over this is stupid.
