The magnet wins and even his body weight can't stop it.
The MRI magnets are strong enough to lift cars, so my guess is asphyxiation or head injury?

My wedding band. Which is a plain old gold men’s band. I swear it got warm and started buzzing. I threw it out of the scanner.

That gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Unchain my heart."

61 AND a 20 pound chain, you can't make this up. But, he should have never been allowed near that room while the machine was on.

Don’t they have to have an internally sealed doors to purge the LH?

She told News 12 that the technician summoned into the room her husband, who was wearing a 20-pound chain that he uses for weight training,
That’s insane

I don’t work in radiology but all hospital employees receive annual training on safety. One thing they drill into you is that MRI machines dont turn off.

For those doubting the chain idea, it's not a damn gold chain like Mr. T, they actually do make these.

What kind of special idiot was running the MRI?

I bet that dude had a neck that put Takeo Spikes to shame.
Posted on 7/20/25 at 12:41 pm to LegendInMyMind
I would have thought the chain would have been pulled off his neck before it pulled his whole body? I gotta wonder how he was wearing it. The article makes it sound like he was pulled so hard he hit his head and died of blunt force trauma?

For those doubting the chain idea
They are wondering why you would wear it around your 'neck' everywhere you go...outside of the gym...to a medical facility...at an outpatient appointment for your wife???

Adding 20lbs to your body weight and walking around all day with it in, burns more calories. I'm not sure how much though.

Damn. This happened in the recent Final Destination movie

Yeah, the initial reporting was lazy. I know that's the norm today, but I hate that shite.
He actually died from a heart attack right? It was caused by the MRI machine an all, but the first reports made it seem like he had a huge jewelry chain on and it sucked him in and he died.
He still died because he had a weight chain on, but it makes more sense when you read the details.
