Man accused of swinging golf club at meter readers

A Bawcomville man is facing two counts of aggravated assault after chasing two water meter readers with a golf club.
According to an arrest report for Tommy J. Bouwell, 53, Bawcom Street, OPSO deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint and made contact with two victims who visited Bouwell's home to read a water meter.
Both victims said the man appeared intoxicated and was sitting on the back steps of the residence until they attempted to remove the water meter cover.
Per the report, the suspect said, "Y'all coming at me with a weapon, I got something for you."
