I loved the one explaining how he played defensive tackle for MSU and his role in the game against Baylor where the Baylor QB stiff armed him and sent him into the turf where he got a mouthful...
"he pointed at me, looked at me down a long boney finger and told me, 'the meek shall inherit the earth', and I just inherited a mouthful..."

Loved Jerry's story about Marcel.
Uncle Versey and Aunt Pet had 12 children. Here are the 11 I could find.
Arnell, Burnell, Raynell, W.L., Lynell, Odell, Udell, Marcell, Claude, Newgene, and Clovis.

Miss Women Libber, Momma don't want you messing with the deal she's got! RIP Momma.
Jerry Clower was a national treasure. Didn't appreciate him as a kid, but love to listen to his greatest hits

Jerry was born at Route 4 Liberty, Mississippi and attended the East Fork Consolidated High School. Any of you fellers learned of the geography of Southwest Mississippi would know that East Fork is the East Fork of the Amite River and Liberty is damn near in Louisiana. Ain't much differnt between folks in South West Mississippi and the Northern Floridey Parishes.

Liked Jerry Clower
Loved Brother Dave Gardner. He was a little more earthy than Jerry (although still clean). Dave worked in drug and sex references into his storytelling. And Brother Dave was a Tennessee boy.
