I don't know how anyone could watch that clip and think these fires are the result of DEI or liberal incompetency.

This was mother nature at it's worst, and not a damn thing anyone could do to stop it.

If you believe nothing can be done to stop it then why do anything?

I don’t see how anyone could keep confusing people talking about problems with the govt’s response due to DEI and liberal incompetence with people saying cause of fire and how it fast spread and grew from the wind is all about DEI and liberal incompetence.

Even the Democratic Governor is saying he wants answers about actions of the locals while deflecting questions about his actions, and the other local officials keep pointing fingers at each other on these issues. One dem is blaming the rich not paying taxes for lack of proper fire response while a few still find ways to showcase their TDS. That’s not even including the many usually liberal LA residents who are also expressing disappointment by their govt’s actions with its poor preparation beforehand and its response afterwards.

If even one life, one family’s home, or one street was lost due to locals being incompetent and focused on DEI focus that would be one too many.

But go ahead fire away and keep straw manning that flame.

This why its difficult to support California.

I'm told ICE will place a detainer request on him with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, but they do not expect it to be honored due to California's Sanctuary State law.

They just issued a false alarm to 10 million residents, 10 MILLION, that sent the entire city into mass chaos and even yet it’s still not gross criminal negligence to them. It was a technical error or was it just (D)ifferent?

As of 9 p.m. WST tonight there’s over 114,000+ verified signatures screaming for Karen Bass's head on a platter and I would highly recommend reading the comments as the overwhelming majority of the comments are from Democrats.

Change.org Demands the immediate termination of Karen Bass

If you haven’t figured out yet there’s a disaster effort being led by a bunch of mouth breathing racists who weren’t prepared. They will pay in the public eyes, no amount of MSNbC and the View will help lie away the embarrassment that is California.

honestly that read like Oregon sent the not so great equipment, and CA had to repair it I didn’t get that out of reading the post. Either way it’s so fricking exhausting reading through all the bullshite lies and political posturing of every major event in this country. It comes from both sides and every angle non stop. The liberals are way more full of shite though.

Sure. But in a historically bad event, we could all agree that optics are extremely important. Someone high up leading this, could have easily sent someone to help expedite this and a police escort to help get them there in a hurry. Again, if nothing else, optics.

Oregon is not exactly right leaning either. It’s not like these trucks came from Alabama.

Why is it all or nothing? You are right, to a small degree nothing could have been done to make this a nothin burger.

But to a large degree, all of these currently known and likely additional issues unknown to the public that could have been improved would have absolutely reduced this. By how much, is impossible to know.

More firefighters
More controlled burns
more water available
better leadership
better equipement

All of this absolutely has a positive impact. We are talking probably $100 biillion impact, we could have absolutely prevented $10 or 20 or 40 billion less of an impact.

TY to you and the OOP for spelling it out. I feel that the majority of people who live here and were here this past week (and also have a rudimentary understanding of logic or science basics) get it. I am a bit exhausted trying to explain day in/out to friends & family who are not here
1. What having a directional drying hurricane without water coming from the sky is like.
2. What 8+ mos of no rain following 2 years of wet seasons that produced lush vegetation is like. (1 spark of anything is dangerous as all hell) 3. How those same winds prevented air response for well past the first 24 hrs. Our first aerials to assess couldn't even be done from a close enough range for effective response. As soon as the could do so they did.
4. It was so much spread so quickly, and the response has been non-stop.
5. Pre-regular fire season they were cutting brush, doing strategic controlled burns in the areas needed. The responded and put out fires all summer and fall more than adequately.... from car fires, arson, wildfires, and structure fires.

The fire crews of the city and the county work non-stop to keep our city from burning down. They respond to power lines down, and so many other critical emergencies. The crews in each part of the city know their territory so well. Firetrucks & ambulances know how and practice safely navigating through some sick traffic to tight canyon roads with huge vehicles in their responses. These people save lives regularly. Anytime I see a crew from the beach, or downtown, in the air by the foothills, or in a suburban neighborhood I know they have our backs, I feel safer, and I am proud to know they are part of the community.

Please encourage anyone you know personally who may be sucked in by all the politically driven garbage on msm news outlets or socials all looking for engagement or to push agendas to think logically or educate themselves with a bit of science (elementary physics, geology, enviro, chem... anything). It makes a lot more sense than all the propaganda and ignorant rhetoric.

This is how delusional they are on the Los Angeles sub reddit
