It looks like they took the picture from I-10 so that is just covering the exit, though who knows what it looks like now.

I had some good times out there when I was in college. I had access to the island across from the camps. Back in the early 90's

I used to live in Frenchman's Estates on Military Rd, and we had a decent sized bayou in the back yard. Our whole house would get surrounded when it would flood. I'd bet that place has water knocking on the door right now

I just went down Military by there and half of the road was under water. Still passable, but not by much.

A farmer friend of mine owned it years ago before he sold it to the corp. I built a huge duck blind in the back of the oxbow. Always wondered if it was still standing. Great memories
