Crests Still to Come:
•Amite River at Bayou Manchac Point, Louisiana: Cresting at just over 15 feet early this week (major flood), highest since Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. Homes possibly impacted, roads impassable.
•Amite River at Port Vincent, Louisiana: Cresting between 11-12 feet early this week (moderate flood). Streets and residential areas will flood.
•Big Cypress Creek (Caddo Lake) at Mooringsport, Louisiana: A top five crest is expected early this week, highest since May 1966. At level of 178 feet, several hundred homes, including some on stilts, would flood.
•Big Sunflower River at Sunflower, Mississippi: Will remain just below record crest from 1973 into early week. Low-lying streets flooded.
•Boeuf River near Ft. Necessity, Louisiana: A top 4 crest is expected late week, flooding thousands of acres of land.
•Leaf River near McClain, Mississippi: Fourth highest level on record has been reached and some slow additional rising is possible. Flooding of homes, county roads.
•Pearl River near Pearl River, Louisiana: Near record crest possible Monday or Tuesday. Subdivisions flooded near the river. Parts of I-10 east of Slidell will flood.
•Red River at Shreveport, Louisiana: Cresting near 31.5 feet (moderate flood) early this week. A couple of city parks flood, and Russell Road may flood between I-220 and Blanchard Highway in north Shreveport.
•Sabine River at Deweyville, Texas: A record crest over 3 feet above the unofficial May 1884 level expected by the middle of the week, due to previous record releases from Toledo Bend Reservoir well upstream. At these levels, the town of Deweyville will be isolated, with numerous homes flooded and widespread, catastrophic flooding. NWS-Lake Charles says all Calcasieu Parish residents west of highway 109 should be prepared to evacuate, if requested.
•Sabine River at Orange, Texas: Forecast to rise above major flood stage by Tuesday due to record releases from Toledo Bend Reservoir well upstream. At the 6-foot river stage, numerous roads and homes are subject to flooding. Only twice before has the river reached the 6-foot stage at Orange: 1) Hurricane Ike 2008 (9.86 feet) and 2) April 25, 1913 (6.27 feet). It is currently expected to rise above the 1913 crest, but remain below the Ike crest.
•Trinity River at Liberty, Texas: Forecast to rise above 29-foot stage by midweek. At that stage, several subdivisions above Liberty begin flooding.

Already Crested:
•Bayou D'Arbonne at Lake D'Arbonne, Louisiana: Crested just shy of 89 feet, second highest crest on record. Severe flooding of several homes likely occurred around the lake, with nearly all roads flooded to some extent.
•Bogue Chitto River at Franklinton, Louisiana: Crested at third highest level on record. Homes flooded. Below flood stage Monday or Tuesday.
•Calcasieu River near Glenmora, Louisiana: Crested Saturday as a tie at the second highest level on record, topping the 1989 flood, but shy of the record May 1953 level. Major flood damage is possible downstream along with numerous road closures.
•Calcasieu River near Oberlin: Cresting at 25 feet early this week, which is just below record stage of 26.5 feet. Secondary roads and homes are affected at 19 feet.
Calcasieu River near Kinder: Cresting at 23 feet (major flood) Wednesday. Roads flooding and some structures may be affected in the Nevils Bluff community.
•Sabine River at Logansport, Louisiana: Reached 35 feet on Sunday. At that level, the city's water plant is in danger of flooding. Several dozen homes would flood, as well.
•Tangipahoa River at Robert, Louisiana: Crested at third highest level on record on Saturday. Highways, including U.S. 190, flooded. Some homes flooded, cut off.
•Tchefuncte River near Covington, Louisiana: Third highest crest recorded on Saturday. U.S. 190 bridge flooded, homes flooded.
•Tickfaw River at Liverpool, Louisiana: Fourth highest crest recorded on Friday. Flooding of roads and buildings near the river.
•West Fork San Jacinto River Near Humble, Texas: Crested this weekend just over 3.5 feet above flood stage leads to flooding of homes in several subdivisions.
•West Hobolochitto Creek near McNeill, Mississippi: Crested this weekend more than 7 feet above flood stage. Several homes flooded.
quote:
Record Crests:
•Bayou Dorcheat at Lake Bistineau, Louisiana: Crest has topped the previous record flood from April 1991 by just over 2 feet. Records there date back to at least 1974. Homes are flooded at these levels.
•Bogue Chitto River near Bush, Louisiana: Just barely topped record crest from April 1983 on Saturday. Homes flooded. Access road flooded. Highway 21 may have to close.
•Bogue Falaya River at Boston Street (Covington, Louisiana): Crested almost 3 feet above the previous record crest from Jan. 21, 1993 Friday evening.
•Little River of Louisiana near Rochelle: Crested just over 4 feet above the previous record crest from Dec. 29, 1982. Catastrophic flooding of numerous homes with communities in the floodplain isolated. This will persist into early this week.
•Sabine River east of Bon Wier, Texas: Record crest recorded on Sunday topping previous record from April 1913. Widespread, catastrophic flooding along this stretch is occurring.
•Sabine River east of Burkeville, Texas: Has crested about 5.8 feet above its previous record flood stage of just over 48 feet set on Feb. 1, 1999, and will remain well over this record for the next several days. Records date to 1884. "Widespread major to catastrophic flooding occurs" at these levels.
•Tchefuncte River near Folsom, Louisiana: Topped record crest from April 1983. Highway 40 bridge threatened. Evacuations required, homes flooded at that level.

I've been keeping my eye on the forecast, are we getting another round everyday Wednesday through Saturday?

That's a snake bite victim waiting to happen. Go home people. Damn

That graphic only represents Thursday and Friday. It emphasizes the south Louisiana rainfall but does not count the record rainfall on Wednesday for north Louisiana?

Does anyone have inside info on I-59 closing at the LA/MS border?
Posted on 3/14/16 at 12:39 pm to buffbraz
Had a coworker say they expected it to be. He lives in Picayune so is monitoring the situation.
Posted on 3/14/16 at 12:42 pm to fightin tigers
I guess nobody has any idea of time frame when or for how long it will be closed?

Just that they expect it to close. He is debating leaving work now.

Coworker told me the I-10 at the Texas/Louisiana border will be closing for 24 hours at 6:00 PM tonight.
Any truth to this? I can't seem to find anything online.
Edit: Found a Link. Looks like it is possible.

Attempted to take some pictures of the golf course at Santa Maria, water was so deep couldn't really get many places.
Looking across the fairway on #3
Standing on cart path coming off green on #11 looking towards 12 fairway
#7 green, flag still up
#7 fairway
Didn't take a picture of it but the #3 tee box area is completely washed Out, as well as the bridge coming from the club house to the driving range / first tee

Anyone familiar with Black Lake Club Road in Maurepas? Curious to know how it is down towards the end of the road. Have a project a crew was trying to finish down there and can't get down there and on Friday afternoon they sent pictures of water had come up about 2'.

Jeez, I wonder how long it will take to right the ship with that much standing water and for that long on the course.

Your project crew running boats on the river? Cause if it is we gotta problem. Some people claiming to be working for a company were barging on the river today and sent 2 foot wake into my grandparents house.
