Just heard on the radio y'all got your arse kicked. House flooding and the baws in the high water vehicles can't get through to get people out.

I just woke up and checked the radar. My jaw dropped when I saw what Monroe is getting.

Looks like we're getting a break for a little while now. It was a torrential down pour for about 3 straight hours early this morning. They're projecting about 5" inches over the next 2 days in Hammond area

Gassed up and ready to roll. Not going to need it at my house unless the Mississippi River levee ever breaks. Ditch was almost empty when I left for work. 14.5 feet above sea level and the highway in the back (3127) is about 6 feet, water runs out of here towards the swamp.

I just drove into the CBD from mandeville, pretty nice drive, no traffic!

going to monitor it and if there is another big wave ill probably head home, we only got a couple inches at our house in mandeville. Typically with a couple inches in a short period my street will cover with water, but that didnt even happen this morning. Crazy though because about 10 miles north of us they got about 10 inches.

everything near sisters creek at old Covington/Coburn is under water, from Coburn to the traffic circle. Houses on both sides of old Covington are getting water

barely got out of south Coburn to old Covington this morning to get to 12. Hopefully I won't be wading in to get home this afternoon. Highest water I've ever seen in this area. Haven't seen anything from Robert but I can't imagine it's good

Crazy! It looks like Hammond is making a run at an all-time 2-day record rain total. Records go back to 1892 there. It is really impressive when you consider Hammond has seen plenty of hurricane rains.
