Enough with the 30 mph winds, let's get this over with in SELA

I don't think you can go south from Ruston. You also cannot go east or west. There is a slight chance that there is a north option on 33 to farmerville then back down on 143 into monroe. Then you could take i-20 to jackson then take i-55

Most of the roads South seem to be closed too.

My family/childhood home is near Edgewood and Donahue Ferry. My dad said it rained 5 inches last night at the house, but said he didn't think there was much to worry about for them.

So what's the outcome from last night folks? Did it get worse, better, or same same?
Posted on 3/10/16 at 7:39 am to DieselTiger1
225, Diesel, did you at least find a hotel or a friend's house to stay at?
Posted on 3/10/16 at 7:39 am to TulaneUVA
Stayed the same for me.
We had a very long break with just light rain from late afternoon into about 8-9pm. I think that helped a ton.
Red Chute is up to 22.77

It is still raining in Shreveport, but at a more sustainable pace. Bayous, canals and small rivers are flooding, but that is pretty much it for Shreveport. The streets are not flooding that bad anymore.
Most of the heavy rain is towards Ruston and Monroe now it seems.
And south LA should get their dose today.

Wow. Prayers for my North La folks. I am seeing a lot of bad pictures from my Bossier city friends
The pictures from Shreveport & Monroe remind why I will not drive anything, but a truck.

Bossier got 20" of rain in 24 hours yesterday
Posted on 3/10/16 at 7:43 am to WeeWee
Yep. There's a reason you only see SUVs and trucks still out powering through. Cars don't stand a chance

I 20 is now fully open east of Ruston.
