Check out that sharp gradient between Noah flood and no rain. Doesn't look interested in moving anytime soon.

I feel tramatized after spending 8 hours trying to get to Jackson MS from Logansport, LA. Left Logansport at noon. Got on I-20 in shreveport and not too far along before I-20 was shut down. Got rerouted to hwy 80. Almost gave up in Minden but my option was a questionable motel so I finally found a route on 79 that took me to Homer and from there I turned onto 9 and headed back towards I-20 because I was told I could get back on I-20 near Arcadia. Got onto I-20 and managed to get just past Ruston before I-20 was shut down again. Tried going north again but every way I went was flooded. Finally gave up around 8pm, turned around and went back to Ruston. Just so happened to walk in the door of a hotel just as someone was calling to cancel their room because they were stuck and couldn't get there. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET HOME??

I see Northwestern State in Natchitoches is closed again tomorrow. Does Hwy 6 flood leading into campus? Or just around Town in General?

I would guess because so many students commute and there are too many road closures.

I think it's more about the city and even campus itself than hwy 6.

Where can you find that kind of data for a given area? This is the best I could get:

You can plot it using Python or you can get it from FLASH at OU - Link Here

Use the product drop down to select Precip Return Period.

Just go get a beer at Ponchatoulas. Relax and regroup in the morning.

165 between Monroe and Sterlington is wiped out - all lanes and median underwater.

I barely made it through with a truck....couple cars stalled out already.

Avoid 165 north of Monroe.

Forsythe in Monroe is underwater from esakamoes to Trios.

Just be thankful you're not in Logansport anymore.

You can check on coming to Farmerville on HWY 33 go East on HWY 2 until HWY 143 to West Monroe and get on I-20 at Stella St. Or go to Sterlington and get on HWY 165 South to I-20. Not sure if any of these routes are open or not.

I almost got stuck on I-20 today.

My neighbors packed everything up and got out of their house this evening. They are 6 to 8ft below me. My house did not flood in 91 so I hope I am ok.

It has been giving the models fits and driving forecasters crazy. At 00z, it looks like it is close to -10 STD! That is just insane, how do you forecast that?

Damn, the '91 mega flood didn't even do that. I imagine River Oaks is probably flooding.

Ok, this looks like a possible option. Did you travel on 33 or 2 or 143 today?

33 to Farmerville.

You need to check the road closures update to see if these roads are still open though.
