I hope those affected by the hurricane are ok. And were able to take shelter if their homes are not repaired.

It's 80 degrees in BR currently. That's a poor excuse for winter.

I will.

It'll say that at 1:30 pm on 1/5/25, it was 80 degrees and it will still be true.

oh look, its the season called Winter.

When we get snow, we normally don’t get more than 3-4 inches. Nor do we regularly get 1/2 inch of ice. We’re sitting at about 7 inches of snow right now and the sleet/freezing rain hasn’t started yet.

It stayed below freezing for 7 days at my house in MS last January. Mosquitos were as bad as I can remember this past summer.

Can confirm. Was a long stretch of sub-freezing temps and we had terrible mosquitoes this summer.

Was the first summer since moving here I didn’t spend any time on the deck out back.

I went to Gordon Wisconsin a couple summers ago and those are the worst mosquitoes I’ve ever seen in my life. Those shits definitely don’t care about the cold.

I guess we are just gonna roll severe weather into this thread? That warning over southern MS been rolling for a bit but I haven't been able to look into it

Approaching Rolling Ford but shouldn't be a direct hit thankfully

Meanwhile, it looks like brother Delta is down there dodging tornadoes at the moment.

DFW is going to get it Thurs-Fri. Bastardi says 6-12 in the metroplex. Doesn't look to be super cold though.

Just went to clear my grandmas steps and put salt down. I think this area is looking at 14 inches and currently around 6. Fun week to come back to change renters and see my dad.
