Go to about 19:10 to watch Will Happer show his CO2 meter while talking at a conference. He said it went from about 400 ppm outside to 580 ppm inside while speaking for 20 minutes. He also said he took a reading when he was lunch and saw that it was over 1000 ppm.
you realize humans exhale CO2 correct?
it would make sense for it to fluctuate at a large conference.
atmospheric CO2 is the number that matters anyway

I am not sure why everyone is so angrily discounting this. 20 ppm is not a lot but it is 5%. I don't know if that is a problem or not.
It sounds like a bunch of snowflakes are getting upset at hearing information that they don't like.

people can't stand to face inconvenient facts for some reason. It's weird to me since it isn't like any of us can be blamed for the numbers. the impact of a single human being has no impact at all, the problem is there are 8 billion of us

Shocked that there is so much push back. It is accepted that CO2 levels are coming up due to man made processes.
The debate is whether it affects global climate significantly.

Math
You aren't very good at it

My question is... what level of CO2 do plants need to thrive?? Not to survive, but to thrive??
Serious question, because it seems lower CO2 levels mean plants would starve and die
Not a scientist

Answer is
For optimum growth...1000ppm
Where we are is dangerously low and is why we see famines and other crop failures.

Is it?
Do you know how much CO2 (and other things) a single volcano puts in the air?

In 2010 the baseline was 400ppm, now it’s 420ppm. That seems like a pretty significant increase to me.
Science is the shite!

Notice how someine is DVing this question. It happened twice now. It is as if someone is taking a shite on someone's religion.

Wait, so we are less than half of where this planet needs to be in order to sustain all life on this planet??
Sounds like we need more CO2, so people in developing countries don't starve and die
Again, not a scientist...

This is a machine doing a simple measurement. It’s not complicated. Doesn’t require tons of rigorous testing, but you brainiacs can’t take it for what it’s worth.
That is how much it is worth.

Point……..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,> you
Oh yah think? Humans exhale CO2?
Next you’ll tell me that plants “eat” CO2, and that cars and other machinery emit CO2.
Then you’ll get crazy and talk about the Oceans absorbing it, and volcanoes and Geysers emitting loads of it!!
No way!
It has to be that atmospheric CO2 doesn’t fluctuate even a measly 20 ppm at one location no matter the time of day or wind direction or season of the year.
Did I get all that right?

Wrong.
It is accepted that human’s are contributing to the CO2 level increase. What percentage of that increase is due to humans is not actually known, though there are lots of opinions.

This thread has gone about like I expected.

That seems like a pretty significant increase to me.
Or are you just blindly looking at numbers and are scared?

How often do they calibrate said machine and against what standard ?
