Should he be charged with a crime here? He is an idiot but the guy did that to himself.

A man is charged in the death of a homeless man. Keonte Jones, 28, can be heard in video laughing at Larry Coner, 55, after Coner sustained an injury that would kill him, Las Vegas police say. Now Jones is facing time behind bars.

The victim attempted the maneuver twice, but only did cartwheels. He tried one more time, this time launching toward his back, but he didn’t land on his feet. He fell with an audible thud, apparently head first. The man identified as Jones laughed. The victim did not get up.

“He hit a backflip, and went to sleep,” he said. Jones told people at the scene to leave Coner alone, and that the man would get up.
“He’ll be all right, n***a,” he said.
“You ain’t got no fricking remorse, or heart,” said a woman in the video.
The man identified as Jones approached the victim.
“Here,” he said. “Take your six dollars, n***a.”
This was about 1:23 of the footage. The total clip is 10:26. Jones would cackle through the entire thing as Coner barely moved.
“As the incident went live on Facebook, Jones continued laughing and filming Coner for almost 10 minutes while telling onlookers not to call medical,” police said.

He was just looking for some entertainment to relieve stress in between his medical school finals

Eh, possibly for refusing to get the guy aid after the fact.

Well that makes it okay then. I forget about all these fine young medical students.

Okay, that's why I asked. I didn't think about that.

If he just didn't render aid, maybe no charges. But actively telling people not to call paramedics? Ehhhh

I'm not sure about being charged, but I would love to see him get his arse beat down so bad that people are standing over him laughing, while tossing $6 on his limp body.
Oh, and the part I put in bold is just funny to me.

Complete dipshit, but I don't think he acted criminally based on the facts in the op. Maybe there is more to the story.

Wasn't a bunch of guys paying homeless guys to hurt themselves and fight the plot of an entire video series back in the day?

Wouldn't bother me if that happened.

Apparently Keonte Jones is not down with black lives matter

That would fall on them, wouldn't it? They had no reason to listen to him.

The video is 10 min of the dude laying there motionless and 10 min of the dude still laughing. Seems like anyone who’s not an emotionless sociopath would have realized something was wrong a minute or so in.
Criminal? IDK
An indictment of a bigger problem? Absolutely

This moron committed several crimes and should be charged appropriately.

If you dare someone to do something potentially dangerous, and then they do it on their own and get hurt, is the person who dared them responsible or under a duty to render aid?
