This and that new Aerospace studies building is gonna be nice!

I am very surprised at how well Patrick F Taylor (CEBA) turned out. I didn't think we could make such an ugly building look good.

Looks of good tech in there to enhance the student's experience, and a bunch of new classroom/auditoriums and research labs.

Really still need renovations to Lockett, Coates and the library.

The library will be moved in the next ~5 years. Believe they're in the preliminary design work. The plan is to demolish Lockett as well.

eta: 'New Learning Commons' is the library in the renderings below

Can they make the Business Education complex look less ugly while they are at it?

Lockett had to be the worst building on campus.

I was wrong about Tate.

I'm legitimately impressed with him now, and his focus on shoveling money into key programs at LSU and casting a much broader net for fundraising.

This.

I was certain he would be a disaster. He has been excellent so far.

I wonder how long it’s going to take people to realize that the Quad used to make a giant cross before Middleton was built and will again once it’s gone

OLOL is rolling in cash since Covid. They had to shelve their Fran U student union because of lack of funding then suddenly they have the money plus another quarter billion to give to LSU.

Think they just decided to move the program to the Emerging Technology Center instead of constructing a new building but he could be talking about something else.

That is truly impressive. Congratulations.

Just think of all that money going to educating the future, not destroying the present.

LSU loves those precast concrete panels now. They put them on everything.

I believe demolishing and relocating the library was party of the university master plan some time ago. Not sure if they are sticking with that plan still..

Whose decision was the design of that building? They decided to go in a completely different direction than every other building on campus... Thankfully they realized how stupid it was when they renovated Patrick F Taylor.
