His name was Kayne Finley and was loved by the LSU community.

quote:

11/24/2017 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

Kayne peacefully passed from his earthly self and ascended into heaven around 8:20 am, surrounded by his devoted father, mother, brother and dog, Curtis, Kirsten, Keagan and Moose. ??????

Service arrangements will be announced soon. Out of respect for the family and their personal time, please only urgent phone calls and texts.

Kayne’s legacy will live on as he fulfilled his purpose in furthering the Great Commission and in making a difference by raising awareness for DIPG brain cancer.
DIPG took more today than yesterday and will never win this battle. Jesus and love will always win! ??????

We appreciate all of you and ask that you continue to pray for the entire Finley Family as they grieve the loss of their sweet and precious son and brother, Kayne. Hands together, prayers up!

May God bless us all! ??????
The Finleys

He left LSU in October and had a "See ya later" party before leaving Baton Rouge to go into hospice.

Friends & classmates gather for a "See Ya Later" party for beloved #LSU student Kayne Finley, as he readies to return home @cannballs4Kayne

Cancer sucks.

RIP Kayne

Here’s a video of his time at LSU

quote:

friends turned family here at LSU. I cannot thank the community of Baton Rouge enough for the great couple of months I was able to spend there. All of these people showed me that I was truly cared for no matter what I could and couldn’t do. I am forever grateful to have met everyone. While it was more sad returning home than staying there, I knew my condition and health made it unsafe for me to continue on campus. I am thankful to God for all that I have and will forever be a LSU Tiger! Tigers never lose the friendships they’ve made and the same goes for me. #foreverLSU

Terrible thing for someone that young to have to deal with. Glad his pain and worry are over, though. Rest in peace, young man....

God bless his family and may the love of Christ surround them during this difficult time. May they take comfort in knowing that he is pain free now.

Looks like he made a lot of friends and enjoyed his short time at LSU. I’m glad that was possible. It probably helped ease his suffering over that time. He’s in a better place where he’ll make even more friends now
