The boy was not a fan of public education and the way our constitution is written gutting higher ed is now an annual event. All those cuts are catching up to LSU.

If you were going to pay that much money, why not send your kids to good schools?

Sounds pretty accurate.
Although with TOPS it's one of the better values for in-state students also, a state that is ranked in the bottom five in almost every category.

Who cares. LSU produces some good grads that are pretty vital to the industrial economies of the southeast

When you aren't winning anything in actual football you tend to focus on things less important, like academics.

Maybe he didn't pay much at all. Tulane gives great scholarships out.
But you know all about that don't you Deac

They want over $28k a year for out of state fees. Good way to keep those high GPA students out.

“I think U.S. News has done more damage to the higher education marketplace than any single enterprise that’s out there,” Alexander tells Politico. LSU was ranked No. 135 in the country in last year’s rankings, a drop of six spots from the year previous. The school ranked No. 64 among all public schools.
I don't agree with F.King ever, but he is spot on here. 99% of these rankings are crap, and only benefit the schools with already existing stereotypes of being top schools, which in turn encourages kids to think an art history degree from a top 50 school that costs $100k in student loans is more valuable than an engineering degree from an 100-150 ranked school that cost under $25k in student loans (if any). Hence why we have an unsustainable large student loan bubble.

Yeah but we are ranked 12th in football. Take that US News and World Report.
That and being able to get my Manda sausage poboy at football games is really all that matters.

These rankings are less reliable than that damn hurricane cone. Just a wild guess.

Yeah, I do.
My point is why go there? It's not a good school, especially for the money. Good schools give out scholarships too. Send your kids to a place that isn't the fall back school for kids from New Jersey that couldn't get in a good school on the East Coast and want to party in New Orleans for college.

How many colleges are there in the united states?
Let me answer, about 1400
So 133 is top 10%

According to US News and World Report, LSU ranked 133rd among best colleges, on par with UK and U of Arkansas, but behind 9 other SEC schools.
Yeah, but have you seen that new lazy river!

Uga has been underrated for a while.
A friend of mine went there for a semester, she was pre-mrs and found it tougher there than at lsu.
Believe she's a pa now
