LSU Gumbo with a very unfortunate design in 1933

ETA: since people can’t read apparently, I know that the symbol had been used for a long time before Hitler came to power.
There’s damn swastikas throughout the yearbook. Boy talk about poor timing on their part. My great-grandfather was a student at the time and the people that went with the design based it on the burial mounds. And I’m aware that it has been around forever. Still, pretty funny coincidence.

Meh, it pre-dates the Nazis by a long arse time and meant something like "good time/life" whatever.
