That’s actually pretty damn cool. I wish I had a Gumbo from 1933! My grandfather would’ve been 20 at the time but he didn’t go to college, he didn’t even finish the 7th grade.

Native Americans used the symbol as well on tepees.

There are also tile swastikas in the lobby floor of the Saenger Theater in NOLA. It was opened in 1927.

Would be interesting to discover the meaning (or not) of the symbol since it's found in several disparate places, seemingly unconnected. Indian tepees & the floor of the Saenger & Nazis. All decades apart & different cultures.
