quote:I n US history, has that population ever looked at an issue and said, "yeah, we are the problem" It is no different than the white trash folks, but that population is too fragmented to hang out together.
So, lsu has a black people area for tailgating and 2 shootings happen from that area and somehow there isn’t an obvious answer?

closing off Unity Field during game days for the remainder of the football season
This is honestly pretty shocking that they went through with this, but it needed to be done.

You know what would really kill the disorderly conduct easily?
11:30 and 2:30 game times.
Brian Kelly is trying his damnedest to make this happen, and for that we should be grateful!

Like the folks involved are going to give any fricks about these rules.
The 16 year old was arrested for "illegally carrying a gun".

Anyone lol at the irony of the field chosen by the black student union for black tailgating being named unity field

quote:I don't know. The first person to speak and the main guy heading up the press conference was the president of the Board of Supervisors. He seemed serious about getting shite done. And he has Landry's backing. The board of supervisors and the governor are very powerful in Louisiana. Landry can easily get LSP down there if it moves just outside of campus and BRPD doesn't do anything.
LSU punted this to the city. Hilarious.

When I saw BSU my first thought was the area in front of the Baptist Student Union near the Chimes, which is near the shooting location. Not sure how you could close that down.

bullshite. LSU putting this out just ensured that there will be double, if not triple the amount of that crowd for the A&M game. Only now it will be in the name of social justice because the “community leaders” will cry that LSU is racist and trying to kick black people off campus on gameday.
I feel pretty confident that the people shooting at each other don’t give a frick about protesting.
You might see some of that, but it ain’t gonna be the same “crowd.”

I have a feeling this will impact the student tailgate scene all together. I expect big changes and extra security measures to all student tailgates from here on out. Likely enclosing student tailgating areas and showing student ID in order to enter these designated areas.

Tighten the screws for the rest of the season. Next year, business as usual.

Yall should have seen how trashed Unity Field was on Sunday. Worst of any tailgate areas by far

All tailgates and student organizations should be fined for leaving their areas a toxic wasteland. Not that difficult to pick up after yourself.

How many old bbq pits did they leave behind with broken wheels..
There is one group that tailgates in the enchanted forest once each year.. you can always pick up an old pit laying on its side the next day.. I think they are slowly working through all the members old sacrificial pits..

They should have blocked off Highland on game days long before now. That has always been a cluster.
