This. Have every grand marshal be someone from either team.
When the Saints won last coach SP was in one of them. On St. Charles the parade got stalled and he came down from the float and walked the street with the Lombardi trophy. This is a part with no barricade so everyone was in the street and got to touch it.

I remember when I was about 13, I found the first Baton Rouge person (Bobby G. who lived in Capitol Heights) I had ever met who said he'd prefer the Saints winning the Super Bowl over LSU winning the Football National Championship. I found it to be such an odd opinion. I really couldn't comprehend it.
He asked me if I'd trade three Saints' SB wins for one LSU FB NC. I said no way. He asked if five or ten Saints C'ships would be worth one LSU NC... I said nope and nope.
That was back when I kindof gave a shite about the NFL. If you asked me today, there's no number that would be worth trading away a single LSU National Championship.
P.S. I know this is unrelated to the OP's OP... just thought I'd chime in.
