Sure, I guess. I got arrested in 2017 in EBR and my girlfriend came and got me. Never had a picture taken. They took my prints and typed some stuff in the computer. I got released with a piece of paper that told me to expect a letter in the mail for a court date.
It depends on the parish you’re arrested.

A shitfaced captain hitting another cop at 3:30am is pretty awesome, what are the odds

Drunk, involved in an accident, and gets a misdemeanor.
Wish I had that kind of luck .

OP
Its a good point, we have a many tiered justice system. Especially for democrats in DC

know this is a stupid question, but what’s to keep someone that just got a DWI that was close to what she got from demanding you get the same sentence? It would obviously cost at lot of money, but I promise you she will get off with a month of unsupervised probation

She’s just another fat stupid do-nothing government worker with a fat pension. She was drunk and driving at 3:30 am, yet she “was scheduled to be at work later that day”. What king of crap is this?
She should not be allowed to resign. She should be fired.

Did she flee the scene and yell “I am the law”?

According to the article, she was issued a misdemeanor summons. That’s hardly being arrested as most people think of being arrested.
Well, I believe in most states, a misdemeanor summons, or traffic ticket, is en lieu of being arrested. Technically, they can issue you a ticket for any misdemeanor I believe

That's a Belinda if I've ever seen one.

Police refuse to police themselves, yet wonder why they are not looked upon favorably by the community. Police, like any other government worker, should have harsher penalties than the general public. If I was a cop, I'd be pissed idiots like this represent me.

True. But given the fact she was drunk and caused a wreck that injured everyone involved, I would expect her to be held a little longer. I guess I’m expecting a little much out of the top law enforcement agency in the state.

DWI first is a misdemeanor. Careless operation or reckless driving are misdemeanors. Vehicular negligent injuring is a misdemeanor. Unless there’s a death there’s nothing other than a misdemeanor to be charged.

I'd bust her asses back to private and make her wash all the state police vehicles in every troop until she retires.
