that's the problem with these "specialty" type grocery stores, you have to go to 3-4 of them to do your shopping because none of them have decent quality/prices on everything that you need, and Whole Foods can suck a dick, the only thing they have going for them is a bar
I love sprouts and shop there every week in Dallas. I get everything there
Great veggies and fruit
Good meat/poultry/fish at great prices
tons of nuts/trail mix options
I don't eat a lot of processed stuff, and can get almost everything i need from there.
I do go across the street to fiesta for some small things but i don't do it all at once usually

But still no Buccee’s
I am sure that Louisiana is heartbroken that they missed out on a new gas station.

When did they move/close?
Not sure. But they were around at that location since the late 80s.
It's been at least ten years since they closed. The store was too small and couldn't make them enough money so they sold out.
Consecos is there now and seems to do pretty well.

I wonder how long it takes before some local community activists complain the new store isn't in north Baton Rouge...?

this, still don't get the fascination people(Texans are religious about it,) have for that glorified gas station/convenience store

I"m not in awe of those gas stations or anything, but 90% of the stations in this state are huge shitholes run by idiot employees. Bathrooms are nasty as hell too.
So yeah, a nice new gas station chain wouldn't be the worst thing to happen.

Sorry to hear your disgust with Texas. I'm sorry you dont like clean restrooms at gas stations that you visit.

Because when you're on road trips, it's the GOAT stop. Cheap gas, cleanest bathrooms in the world, and a huge variety of snacks.

have one a mile away from my house in one of the north atlanta burbs and it's pricey as hell.
I find that some things are pricey but some things are about Publix level.
Definitely cheaper than Whole Foods.

Is Tom Thumb an actual grocery store in some states? I thought it was just a gas station with a quick mart

I used to shop at the one when I lived in Plano, just off Legacy and Beltline(i think).
And for last year in Midtown, I liked the one by Lovers and Greenville.

I will not shop there because that a hole stole my friend's land.

because they supposedly use locally grown produce
Does anyone even grow produce near Baton Rouge?

I'm not sure those are the same company, but I know what you're talking about. They have them in Florida.
Tom thumb is part of Randall's/Albertsons.
