Sprouts does not use locally grown stuff. It ships from all over, mainly West coast and Mexico just like other stores.

No, Sprouts take pride in their produce, and sources all produce “locally,” which qualifies as within 500 miles.

Local produce is overrated anyway. Often times you have to sacrifice quality to get local. Retailers typically buy produce from wherever that particular item is growing the best that time of year. You can get good local tomatoes during the summer but when it gets cold the better tomatoes are going to come from Mexico.

That’s just one example. Different things are going to be better from different regions during different times of the year.

Sprouts is alright...better pricing than Whole Foods, but not all that imo.
