Other than JBE, Louisiana has not elected a statewide Democrat in many moons, and both houses of the legislature have a Republican supermajority. For better or worse, Louisiana is the GOP's baby for the foreseeable future. Whatever happens, the credit or blame will belong to them.

I'd argue it hasn't started

This is driven by strong commodities prices on Louisiana’s raw material exports. That’s good, but not the result of a bunch of new jobs or businesses. Any good news is worth celebrating, though.

It wouldn’t be the first time those workers
come here to make money and send a lot of the money back to their families.
Things cost more now compared to the start of Covid, politics be damned. We had a President that wouldn’t shut up and now we have one that probably doesn’t know what’s going on.
People aren’t trying to get across the border for No reason, make money, and send it back home with the protection of the US Government.

Our local bank is remodeling one of its branches. The flooring crew just went back to Mexico and won't return until after the holidays.

I think this poster was likely being sarcastic.
But…
As a small business owner it inspires confidence in the future. Much like when Trump got elected in 2016 and you saw an almost immediate impact in the stock market.

Some of these posters need to learn what tongue in cheek humor is. But I agree with you as well. The Dixiecrats are just still butthurt.

I would argue most of long tenured types were Democrats that switched to Republican. Honestly, the best classification would probably be political animal.

This has nothing to do with either state party's policies and has everything to do with the fact that the Europeans, Japanese, and Koreans are buying lots of LNG, specialty chemicals, and lumber products that they don't have.
