This is the same order that’s already in place in several areas around the country. It’s not that big a deal compared to what’s already happened

Can’t blame it all on Nola. It’s the only place in this state international tourists and many domestic tourists want to come see. So it inherently will see the highest outbreak numbers, especially once Mardi Gras occurred.

But sure keep on blaming Nola and it’s filthy inhabitants .

The response to this virus on every level has been atrocious. Just fricking atrocious.

The uncertainty and ridiculous antics of our so called elected leaders is just pathetic.

Louisiana has done a piss poor job regarding this virus.

Do tell, what specifically would you have done differently?

blame is a bad word to use, outside of last weekend and the public in those areas continuing to congregate in large numbers

the governor dropped the ball by not issuing these sorts of orders there prior to last weekend. it's an utter failure

now it should have been 2 weeks ago, but that's optimal. no reason it shouldn't have been in effect prior to last weekend

In isolationism without clogging up grocery aisles. It should be encouraged.

I’ve cancelled all in person meetings. All material is either dropped off in a lock box outside, mailed or emailed in. My staff is scaled back to only 5 employees in the office at one time. If more than that is required to stop the spread than nothing outside of locking us inside our homes will do.

We are in an office building, and we have had conversations with the building management. Getting the impression that if our parish gets "sheltered in place", that they will basically lock the building and tell us we can come and go as needed to get files, but no more than one or two at a time. All HVAC would be turned off.

I'm the sole tenant in my building. I may lock the doors and not have any face to face meetings, but I anticipate being at work on pretty much my regular schedule.

Lol no

New Orleans is both a major port and a major tourist destination. That’s why it’s a Coivd hotbed.

LOL, Yes. Mardi Gras likely spread this faster than anything other than China itself.

My sauces (soy and tomato) are telling me that lockdowns will be made nationwide starting 3/23. Buy your bread and bullets now because March Madness (i.e. Purge Season) is just getting started. Lockdowns should last until around Easter weekend (April 10th).

It's cute that you believe this.

Trump says he has no reason not to believe the numbers out of China. That's good enough for me.

Trump hates China with a passion and would love to discredit them if he could. If he and the CDC are accepting China's numbers why shouldn't we.

I saw the posts about 10 million cell phones down. If that's true, we're royally f'd.

I'd bet my life savings that the percentage of businesses that would be employing those policies absent our government's response to this would be in the single digits.

You're naive as frick if you believe otherwise.
