I’m a conservative and not a JBE supporter.

To be fair, he has done a pretty solid job so far. Just following precedents. Under-reacting would be political suicide.

I'd be trying to get food in bulk directly from the manufacturers. Maybe I should.

Bean and bacon soup ftw

lost count. How many times has the State been locked down over the past week?

Every day about this time some idiot comes on here because he knows someone in the guard or just got off an important conference call. These posters should be banned.

A West Point grad is the most ignorant person you've ever met?

I didn't vote for him but I don't think he's done a bad job with this. He isn't Kathleen Blanco for sure.

I didn’t vote for him either but what else is he supposed to do? shite is getting real and I’m hearing this first hand from doctors and nurses that are in the thick of this mess. This isn’t any Facebook or Karen drama. I heard this morning University Hospital is already running out of ventilators

Lol no

New Orleans is both a major port and a major tourist destination. That’s why it’s a Coivd hotbed.

Everyone will still be able to shop and things won’t be much different than it is now other than office buildings being shut down
Doesn't really sound like a lockdown.

Sounds reasonable. My thought is that if the mayors and sheriffs of Orleans and Jefferson Parish don't issue shelter in place orders for those areas soon, admin will be forced to do it statewide in order to shut those areas down.

Louisiana has done a piss poor job regarding this virus. The rest of the state will once again suffer because of the filthy motherfrickers of Orleans Parish. Oh, JBE is about as ignorant of a person I’ve met. Don’t know how he’s survived this long

TBD meaning still considering?

Yes, still considering but don’t be surprised when they make an announcement as late as Sunday evening before the work week starts.

Had a similar call but blaming nola for being in the middle a huge tourism weekend at peak outbreak is a bit outrageous. You northern fricks never seem to have a problem accepting the tax revenues brought in by Mardi Gras/Jazz Fest/Super Bowls/Saints. Nola government does very little right but this time government has nothing to do with it.

if this was the route, it should have been done, at WORST, a week ago (preferably 2)
