Louisiana has 14,305 active cases, California has 13,989.

Louisiana's population is about 4.6 million. California's is over 40 million.

That is insane.

That's because this is California's second wave and they built up some of a herd immunity last December and January.

I wonder how many unreported cases there are amongst the migrant workers who live 5-10 to a room and never go to the hospital in California.

We’re starting to get a fair number of military aged Latin America guys at the hospital with mild to moderate symptoms here in south Florida. Basically no treatment of symptoms until they feel really bad then come to the ER.

There are 19 Chinatowns in California.

Coincidence?

Those guys would rather work than go to a hospital.

You would think that major California cities where there is a lot of Asian travel along with Las Vegas would be hot spots.
It makes me think Trump’s shopping flights out of China really helped and the virus that hit NY and NO was from Europe via Italy.

Has to be Mardi Gras right?

Not a fan of JBE but his response hasn't been too bad

Not just Mardi Gras. States were shutting down and here's Bourbon Street packed elbow to elbow a couple days before St. Pattys day. Then you have the pastor with the 1,200 member church, the second line for a funeral. All this made national news.

It's the liberal California media and government just trying to downplay this.

Is your claim that the New York situation is entirely manufactured?

I don’t see how you can say a significant enough fraction of the population could have been infected (say 20% to even begin to slow the spread, or more than 8 million people) without at least Los Angeles feeling the strain.
