I bet they hate it when they accidentally give you too much freedom.

This is Louisiana.

All they want is to be gate keepers, pick winners and losers, and find customers for sheriffs prisons.

Personally my opinion is lobbying should be outlawed.

Delta 8 is to marijuana what Bud Select 55 is to beer. It will get you high if you smoke an entire joint. Good weed in 2023 shouldn't take more than a hit or two before you are toast.

Not at all, its 100% necessary unless you think a bunch of lawyers and business people elected to the legislature understand the details of everyday life in your state.

The problem is when we started allowing lobbyists to actually write legislation. There's a reason most are attorneys.

It’s after seeing stupidity like this with our legislators that I sometimes wish we had a system like Switzerland where legislators only write legislation and the voters decide whether it passes or not. Voters can also propose their own referendums with enough support. If we had that here we’d have had legalized most substances decades ago.

The problems with referendums in the USA is that most of our population isn't smart enough to make good choices. You may get things like legal weed, but you'd also get a shitload of new social programs and social problems

Now, regulators and lawmakers are trying to unring the bell and crack down on a massive proliferation of THC-laden products that have become widely and legally available.

Seems like repubs get in trouble when they try to legislate morality and dems get in trouble when they try to legislate progressive policies. They want others to follow, but don’t think the policies should apply to them. Politicians are an interesting bunch.

You are incorrect. on an instant test (immunoassay) maybe, but gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry only test for and are specific for ONLY delta-9 THC.

I thought the metabolites of Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC are the same?

Delta 8 is best in edible form, and it’s about as potent as regular weed in edible form. I’ve tried the Dleta 8 vape cartridges and they suck.
