Tv stations don't issue tornado warnings*, the NWS does. The only way you should count on warnings are weather radios. Thats on the public to buy them, not the tv station.

*Unless you're a pretentious loser like Mike Morgan in OKC.

Gary England used to do it too, to be fair though, they are usually correct and give more warning than the NWS.

OKC weather broadcasting is at a whole other level.

You serious, Clark? I really don’t know. I’m in a rental... shotgun double. One main waterline to both units. Raised, all intake lines are underneath. Kitchen and bathroom are only inside faucets. I don’t want my stuff to flood or for my landlady that I love to be damaged with no one here. I’ll try to find someone I trust to come over, because it’s really important that I be with a sick relative.

Tell your landlord you will be gone and that she needs to check on the house. She should be doing that anyway if she was on top of things.

The end of civilization is coming and the world will realize just how important Louisiana was to everything good in the world.

That’s close enough that a jog in the forecast gets St. Tammany in the suck.

Id call the landlord, let him know you gotta go.

A trailer without the water running or the lines blown out will definitely bust something this weekend.

Weather app saying 45 outside but irl it was 41 on my drive into Mandeville from Pearl River County this am. I think the winter precipitation will be more widespread and severe than most are thinking.

I'd assume, in general, the colder it is, the less precipitation it is.

We in the Lake Charles area can’t catch a break when it comes to weather. This area is going to be no-mans land before too long.

App says 35 outside.

Thermometer on shop door tells my phone it's 31.

10 degrees colder than the forecast low last night.

We’re headed out of town today. Think I’ll just shut the water off to the house and drain the lines. Should be good yeah?

Which BR local news station will be the first to run promos claiming they were the first one to call this days ahead of time? When all of them fussed at people on social media for even discussing the idea

Can’t speak of BR, but Nick Mikulas in Alexandria predicted a big winter weather event in February back when we got snow last month. What does he win
Haven’t seen many post in this thread from him but he was the gospel on the last snow event
