Again - these products are computerized outcomes based on a combination of model runs. These are not forecasts!

Go to your local NWS website, then head to forecast discussion. You'll get a fair assessment of what they're thinking. The assessments can even change throughout the day, as to who the forecasters are, based on their interpretation.

I have those thermal shields in my attic and two gas fireplaces. I guess I can cook on those too if needed.

Do gas lines freeze?

Be damn sure to insulate the water service entry from the ground up to where it turns into the house. This is typically at the corner of the garage on the recent DSLD homes.

GREAT call on that one

People here are ridiculous... Lets say you have 60 gallons of 120 degree water in your insulated water heater. Do you really think if its an average temp of 30 degrees for 2 days that it will freeze that mass

During the 2018 cold snap someone posted a pic of a fountain coming out of their wall. The waterline was insulated except for a little copper fitting and that was the weak link.

Same. They're great for keeping the attic temp under control but shite for cell service.

Cell service is literally non existent with them. Front door and in the back master is the only place I can make a call

Well 1- we are talking about the lines, not the actual tank and 2- we are asking the question based upon models showing single digit temps, not 30 degrees.

What temps can I expect on southshore nola? There are so many people posting in different parts of the state that I still don't know what parts are getting the snowmageddon. NWS has a low of 34 for a few hours one night that's not too worrisome.

we have boiler rooms out this way in Alaska. Or the boilers are in the basement (which is very well insulated)
