LC and CENLA get some foreplay freezing rain Sunday morning. Not much at all though. Temps looks down a bit Sunday during the day.

What temps can I expect on southshore nola?

Looking at weather.com for 70123, it has a low of 31 for Monday night.

Accuweather - low of 32 Monday

Weatherbug - low of 30 Monday

So it looks like it'll be near/slightly below freezing with mild increases the following nights AT THE PRESENT TIME.

I've been noticing swings in the forecast so don't take it as gospel.

Looks like we might only get 3-4 hours of freezing rain overnight instead of all night in Dallas now so there’s that.

That's plenty enough to wreak havoc.

The precip coming through Monday is pretty much a carbon copy of the last run.

Lets see if those temps plummet like last time.

A lot of differences between the different weather websites. Weather.com and wunderground both say 3-5 inches of snow and lows of 12-13 degrees for shreveport.

Accuweather and weatherbug both saying only a slight chance of snow and lows in the 20s

Yeah, especially since we’ve been below freezing for over 24 hours already. Roads won’t be warm. But it’s better than all night. There’s a chance of no accumulation on the highways that have been treated if it’s light for just a little while. All night was going to be a total shut down.

During that time, wind chills are well into the negatives.

This is one of the few times I’ve seen forecasts catching up to the worst case model runs over and over again. Usually they start out predicting the worst then backtracking. Every few hours my local forecast moves colder.

It is going to be miserable cold in Dallas for a day or two at least. I have little doubt about that.

I’m not that worried about the cold. I don’t want the freezing rain or even snow. Just a headache.

You'd much rather have snow and I think that'll be the primary precip for you.

Scattered precip before sunset, temps in the mid 30s-mid 20s is what I'm thinking for the metroplex. The really cold air comes with the precip Sunday night into Monday.
