Just lost power in ellick; it’s literally just drizzling. Don’t understand how it can survive a shite ton of thundersleet but not some tiny ice droplets.

The brown water is nasty. Going to assume boil advisory coming soon for Alexandria.

not a good day for those people... looks like there is a car under it
That car is bottomed out. Kinda worried about how long my pergola fabric can hold all this ice.

Rumors the swepco plant is running low on water and power cuts to Shreveport are imminent. We miss most of the nasty freezing rain and that would happen.

I’m at 31 in creola. Freezing rain and the power just flicked a few times. Icicles hanging on the house and trees. Icicles on the power line running to the house but not on the lines along the road.

There are a couple of rednecks driving like dukes of hazard back and forth. If they hit a power pole and causes me to lose power I’ll be pissed.

Transitioned to almost all rain here and it's raining pretty hard. At 28 degrees we are screwed. It'll start accreting quickly.

Well, while inspecting around the house I noticed my condenser fan on one of the units wasn't spinning and just buzzing. Gave it a push and spins freely but didn't keep going.

Matter of time it was old as shite.

I've changed capacitors before but I feel like it's going to be the fan motor.

BTW anyone know why I was still getting heat from that unit. If this were to happen with AC running I would have gotten nothing and noticed the problem sooner.

Or was I in Aux/defrost or something and fine?

We’ve got a mix out here now

Freezing rain, sleet and some sideways snow

Update, one of them turned the corner to the side street of my house without Slowing down and was fish tailing. When they got out a little down the road I heard a loud crash. frick em, go act a dumbass somewhere.

Do you have a heat pump? If it’s a normal A/C and furnace, I don’t know why your outside unit would be running.

Your central heat is inside the air handler in the attic.

The outside unit is not used for the heater.
