Rode my bike to the gym in 36F a few days ago, was great.

I played tennis yesterday at 24°. Today is another level of cold that’s just miserable.

Before today, the coldest I’ve ever been was 2 weeks I spent in Akron, OH in January. This is colder.

'd imagine travel will be fairly limited here until next weekend as another round is due us and temps won't really recover until then

Now this is a dry snow which is not typically seen...who knows

Are you saying what Texas is getting now is a dry snow? or the second batch Wednesday is projected as being dry?

Our snow in Dallas today is really dry. Wind is blowing it around like baby powder.

that tweet from 13.5 months ago was about an explosion in a dumpster behind the old Buds & Suds

frickin Alex . Buds & Suds is almost as good as the Italian restaurant in Natchez that was called "Lil Dago's". I think they have changed their name now though.

Yeah. I'm communicating with someone in SW FW (Benbrook) and it is really starting to come down.

It closed and reopened awhile back. I think it’s Little Italia or something like that. We haven’t been since it reopened. They have weird hours.

Ahh ok, to my untrained winter storm brain, that sounds like somewhat of a relief. Well, as far as dry snow not resulting in a snowless ice storm, but then again I'm used to shorts all winter.

Edit: yeh we always laughed at it when passing but I thought I remembered there being a different name recently when I drove through.

As much as I dislike what we are getting it is likely best case for winter type precipitation

I pray that Wednesday’s snow is dry like this. Might be wrong but seems this is an easier cleanup than the slushy stuff that refreezes every night.

Anything that isn't freezing rain right now is a plus.

I've seen them try with sand... but that doesn't really do a whole heck of a lot

Last time the tried it here in BR it just made it brown, and sandy. End result was just as slippery but dirtier ice.

They always shut down 110 so they can “try” to keep 10 and the bridge open as long as possible. Mostly you hear it after shite starts, they really must be expecting it to get dicey if they are already making that call.
