all entry and exit ramps onto I-49 between Exit 80 and Exit 94 are closed.

That's basically I-49 throughout all of Alex is shutdown.

My fricasse is way thicker than my stew

Fair point. Growing up, we always had fricasse which was essentially what you're saying, a real thick roux based stew. As I've become older, Ive ran across so many people that call what we called fricasse 'chicken stew' but you're right in my experience, it's usually thinner.

Meatballs too. Either chicken or meatballs.

In Baton Rouge, DOTD currently anticipates closing all I-110 starting at midnight and will remain closed until further notice. This closure is necessary due to freezing temperatures.

there's a (currently) easy way to get out of Alexandria southbound if need be... just take Hwy 71 South and you can get to near the Morganza Spillway before you have to get onto 49

which I would then assume means the Pineville Expressway over the Red River is closed too

which would mean my only way to work is the lift bridge on Jackson St. which... no... not going over that in a freeze

I think Pineville Expressway and Buhlow are or will be one lane. Gillis Long Bridge (Jackson Street) is or will be closed.

Rode my bike to the gym in 36F a few days ago, was great.

However, wet and sweaty ride back was a fckking freezing nightmare.

We are supposed to have some high winds on top of it tomorrow. All that snow blowing around will make seeing more than 2 feet in front of you impossible.
