Lake Charles may get 2” of snow? Hearing that from others.

I’d rather snow than ice. Last time I checked, we’re still getting 1/2 inch ice though.

The hot water cloud trick is also acceptable.

Remind me the needed temp for such a demonstration

I guess new Orleans is pretty much locked into our present forecast or could the colder air still shift to the southeast?
Asking for a friend.

Yeah, they’re telling this morning was just a warmup for what’s coming this evening.

Meteorologist Nick Mikulas
This is just a sample of what we may see tomorrow morning. This is the heaviest sleet I’ve ever seen as we waited on a blizzard in Lubbock Texas after Christmas 2015. These rates are possible in the morning, and could be sustained for over an hour. Perhaps a few hours. Along with these rates were several claps of thunder, which will also be possible tomorrow morning. Morning models continue to show this storm unfolding as my morning post said. It looks like light freezing rain will pick up from west to east in the next couple hours. Try and have preparations wrapped up as soon as possible.

Check out the "Driver" Upper Level Low System in crossing southern New Mexico; near El Paso

Even has some lightning in the core = Energy! Yesterday had a gust of 68mph in the desert just outside of Las Vegas.
Generally 30-40mph gust around it

couple of chicks paid no mind to TWC's Justin Williams trying to do a live shot in Amarillo

just walked right between him and the camera as if they weren't even there just as he began his live shot
