Watch by this time tomorrow night this map will have the worst accumulations in southwestern and central Mississippi and this entire thread will have been the biggest dud in weather thread history

According to the radarscope algorithms, if there were precip falling right now near BR, it would be in the form of freezing rain/ice. Look at the color of these small returns.

frick Jay Grymes. Ole pompous arse bitch called people out on social media for talking about the models showing this for two weeks straight like it was ridiculous to believe. I hope he loses power and freezes his rolled sleeves off then admits that he was a dick on air.

It's appropriate. Still dialing in the where but there's going to be a swath with a lot of freezing rain.

So this is Noaa’s official forecast for Monday in Baton Rouge-
-
quote:

Washington's Birthday
Freezing rain and sleet before 1pm, then rain showers and sleet between 1pm and 4pm, then a chance of freezing rain and sleet after 4pm. High near 34. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.”

They are not bullish on this event for BR at all.

Freezing rain in Cenla. Not a downpour but more than a drizzle. A few hours of this will cause significant problems.
