I can't imagine how accurate that could actually be, but that graphic is a great way to convey a lot of general information clearly and concisely.

Kudos to whichever NWS baw made that.

The app I use, shows 8° for Tuesday morning. I'm in NELA, close to Funroe.

NWS Lake Charles @NWSLakeCharles
Freezing rain will be possible across parts of the area tonight into Sat. Additional winter weather will be possible Sun morning and through the day Monday. We will host a Facebook Live/Periscope briefing at 4:30 PM this afternoon to discuss the latest on these events.

Almost half a day of heavy snow for Metroplex and wont thaw.

Plus the next round Wednesday that is not on this graphic.

Metroplex, hell most of Texas, is going to get more winter than they've ever seen. The Texas coast is just going to print low pressure systems that run NE for the next week and that'll keep most of Texas on the cold and wintery side.

Really can't emphasize enough how you don't want to be just on the freezing side of the freezing line. 1" PWAT with best lift in the saturated rain zone. That'll glaze the frick out of a region.

Usually from someone that sells wood out of their house or at a feed store.

And 3 degrees down here with all the moisture is incredibly cold. Feels much colder than 3 degrees up north where it’s a dry cold

A friend of mine is from ND and he said he’d rather tackle -40 in ND than 20 degrees here in Texas.
